Today's Feature

I am really getting excited about Regionals this weekend. I have been going through by swaps from last year and can't wait to get some new ones! Here is one from last year, unfortunately there is no name or info on the back. The colors are: Not quite Navy, More mustard, choc. chip, and old olive. Fall is approaching with my favorite colors and this card reminded me of that! Enjoy.

Featured Card

This card is another from my stash. It has no information on the back so I have no idea where I got it or who made it. I think it is very classy looking and could be used for any occasion. I love reds and blacks together. This card looks like Ruby Red, black, vanilla, and copper. Enjoy.

stamp camp winner

I announced before the last camp that I would pick a winner from the people placing orders for a stamp pad or a pack of asst. card stock. The winner has been randomly drawn by my son, Jarrett and the winner is.......Jennifer Stinnett! Congrats Jennifer! Please email or call me to let me know what ink pad or paper you would like!

Featured Stampers

I am going to add a new feature to my blog called "Featured Stamper". I will pick cards out of my stash from stamp camps, clubs, swaps, etc. for you to use for your own inspiration. This will help me out during my busy weeks when I don't have time to create new stuff for you all to look at! I have chosen my cousin-in-laws and partners in crime, Tabitha Davis and Donna Ross (they are sisters and work together on most projects/camps). I received the Glub-Glub card at a swap that we did at a demonstrators meeting and the clock card was a project at one of their camps. I just want to thank them for being supportive uplines and for letting me "bum" supplies off of them when I am in a bind! Thanks girls!

Ever thought of being a demonstrator?

Have you? If so, now is the perfect time to join the Stampin Up family. During the Choose Your Family Promotion you can choose an entire family of ink pads to go with your starter kit at no additional charge! These ink pads are in addition to the pads already included in the kit! You can't lose! New demonstrators would have until the end of the year to place an order to remain active. If you decide that Stampin Up is not for you, you can keep the kit with no further obligations.

The starter kit is $199 and includes 6 stamp sets, ink pads, stampin scrub & mist, pastels, adhesive, cardstock, craft & rubber scissors, etc. Contact me if you would like to see the full list of items included in the kit and for more details about becoming a demonstrator and joining the fun!

Get this book!

Hey bloggers! Sorry I haven't posted in sooooo long. Between school starting, work, and my DSL acting up, I haven't been able to post. The reason I am posting today is because.......I read a book! To most of you this sounds like no big deal right? The big deal is that I have not read a book all the way through in probably 14 or 15 years! I just don't like to read. Since I was recently diagnosed with Adult ADHD (imagine that) the doctor gave me a goal of reading a book before my next visit with him and when I saw this book and met the author at a local scrapbooking function, I knew this would be something I would be able to read.

This book is such a cute book. It is about 4 ladies who get together to scrapbook and share life's dramas! Buy it, you'll love it! There will also be a series coming out starting in February of next year called Sisters Ink. Enjoy.

Do you need to refill your blender pen?

I know most of you are very fond of your blender pens, I know I am! I want you to be able to use them as long as possible and spend your money on other things in the catalog so here is a recipe for refilling the pen. I have read that you only have to pull off the brush end of the pen and refill with this concoction:

1 part glycerin (can be found at walmart)
2 parts distilled water
1/4 tsp of rubbing alcohol

Or you can use this one:

2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons glycerin
5 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon rubbing alcohol

You should mix these ingredients in an airtight container and use a syringe to fill the blender pen. I haven't tried this yet but I have read in several places on the internet that this works. I also read that you can mix this mixture with ink from refill bottles on a palette to watercoler with an aquapainter.

I know I haven't blogged any pictures in awhile....be patient with me....I will get some out to you soon!! Enjoy!

another blog

Hello again. I will be going out of town this week and won't be able to post until next week so I wanted to give you all a few things to play around with while I am away! I found this tutorial for folding a little shirt! It will be perfect for a Father's Day card or a masculine birthday card! Click here for the tutorial by Cambria Turnbow. While you are there, check out her other posts, she is a very talented stamper. Enjoy.

Ink: Versamark for embossing

Today's blog

Hey all. Hope you have had a great weekend. My blog today is a a little pocket card that I cased from another blog. Click here to view the tutorial posted by Lisa Somerville. This card would be perfect for money, gift cards, etc. The only thing I would do different next time is that I would do a belly band that wraps around it and slides off instead of tying/untying ribbon. Stampin' Up makes cards to fit this, they are the open end envelopes, a business size envelope would work in a pinch but it is a little big. Enjoy.

Card Details
Stamps: Riveting, It's your Birthday
CS: Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, W White
Ink: Perfect Plum
Other: Sponge Daubers, cuttlebug, circle punches, ribbon, corner rounder

Puppy anyone?

I know this is totally off the subject of stamping but....a stray dog decided to have puppies and bring them to live at my house under my shed. They are really cute but I already have a dog and they are going to have to go! If you or anyone you know are interested in one the pups please let me know ASAP, they will be going to the humane society in the next couple of weeks. Spread the word, thanks!

PS - I live just outside Paducah, KY for any of you who do not know my personally!!

New Stamp Space

Guess what I did yall?!? Gary bought me 2 more tables so that I could keep "camp" set up in the loft!! I am so excited. It will help me out soooo much on camp nights, I won't have to move my furniture around downstairs and bring the tables and chairs out. Maybe this will allow me to have some extra classes in between camps. I think the lighting and space will be much better for us up there. I know you faithful campers love to see me run up and down the stairs for the stuff I have forgotten but those days are over.

If you haven't signed up for the June 22nd camp, I still have 2 spaces left. Let me know ASAP!!

Another Father's Day Idea

I have been trying to stock up my stash box of cards at work and I have made several Dad cards. I only have one "happy fathers day" sentiment stamp and I wanted to do something different than just that. I came up with this, it's kinda simple but men don't really care about all the foo-foo on the card anyway do they? Enjoy.

Stamps Sets: Headline Alphabet, crosshatch (Background)

Ink: Versamark
Other: Copper embossing powder, eyelets, ticket corner punch

Father's Day Card

This is another project we did at our last demonstrators meeting. I really think this is a cute idea because it is very hard to come up with "man" cards! I had a pattern for the tie but I think you guys can wing it. Use a square punch for the collar and fold in half. Let me know if you have any questions!

Card details:
Stamps: All Year Cheer II (sentiment inside), crosshatch (background)
Ink: any
CS: Buckaroo Blue, Marigold Morning, Cranberry Crisp, designer paper

Maze Book

I learned how to make a "Maze Book" out of one piece of 12 x 12 paper at our demonstrators meeting last night. I just had to come home and practice it! Maybe this will be a camp project in the next couple of months.

Project Details:
Stamps: Polka dots & paisley
CS: Spring mini designer paper, pretty in pink, certainly celery, tempting turquoise

Sorry for being MIA again!

Hey girls! I just wanted you all to know that I am still alive here in Boaz, KY!! I have been so swamped with yard work, housework, and other things that I have just not had time to post. I will try to get back in the game soon! In the meantime, click here to get a sneak peek at the Stampin Up Fall-Winter preview catalog!

Unfortunately, Stampin Up has also announced that there will be a price increase on many of the items that they are offering in the new catalog. They have not raised their prices in ten years and now the time has come. Don't fret too much, it is only about a 5% increase.

I hope you all are as excited as I am about the new catalog in July and all of the new products! I also want to send out a congrats to Melissa Compton! I heard she was picked for the Stampin Up Survey Team and received some cool new products from Stampin Up! I'm Jealous!!

I hope you all have a great weekend - I'll blog to you soon! Laurie

Click here to view retiring stamp sets sorted by page number

Click here to view retired stamp sets sorted by set name

Here is the retired list that we have been waiting for! I have 29 sets on the list - boo hoo!! It is a good idea to take a bold stamp from your collection and stamp the image next to the retired sets in your catalog. This way you will know which ones you may want to purchase at the next camp!! I will also post a link to the list that is sorted by page number to make it easier when going through the catalog.

Enjoy.
