Card of the Day

Happy Monday Stampers! Today's project is not really a card but a calendar instead. I found an awesome template for a calendar on SCS that is almost exactly like the Create-a-Calendar in the Holiday Mini. You can find it here posted by Cat. She did a fantastic job making this template for us to enjoy! I printed the months on whisper white cardstock per the instructions on the post. I altered it with designer series paper (DSP) and used my Zutter Bind-it-all machine to put the spiral on it. I covered the back of each month with DSP but wish I hadn't bothered. It really didn't add to it all that much - not worth the time and effort. I look forward to seeing what you all come up with! Enjoy!

The details:
Stamps: Misc stamps for each month
CS: Misc DSP, W White (cover is washington apple DSP, riding hood red)
Ink: Many
Other: template off of SCS, die cut flowers, button bouquet, riding hood red striped ribbon

Card of the Day

Hello Stampers! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! I just wanted to take a moment to post a quick picture! I thought I would take advantage of a few challenges that were posted on splitcoast stampers. I rolled 3 challenges into one (SC209, CC197, WT200): this week's color combo challenge, last week's sketch challenge, and this week's "ways to use it" challenge. The color combo is Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Not Quite Navy and Basic Gray. The star attached to the heart helped me complete the "ways to use it" challenge!

Enjoy!

The Details:
Stamps: Happy Heart Day, Sanded
CS: baja breeze, kiwi kiss, not quite navy, basic gray, watercolor, manchester dsp
Ink: black stazon, not quite navy, kiwi kiss
Other: earth elements brads, SU markers, kiwi kiss striped grosgrain, small star punch

I have really been into my stamping this week! I made another card tonight and wanted to share before bed (I even skipped watching Gray's Anatomy to stamp!). This card is a CASE of a beautiful card I saw on splitcoast here. If the stamp set does not look familiar it's because it is going to be one of the new sets in the upcoming catalog! The Details:

CS: more mustard, ruby red, choc chip, watercolor

Card of the Day

Hello Stampers! I had a new "Stalkee" today. I stalked the "Stampin Pretty" blog and found a card using the most gorgeous paper that I have ever seen! It is going to be new in the SU catalog and it is called Raspberry Tart. I usually don't get that wound up about DSP but this one is da bomb. It will be my paper of the month at my next club meeting.

I didn't vary much from the creator's original card. I didn't put as many details into it as she did, not that I didn't love it that way, just trying to make it more simple for a class. Here is the original here. Enjoy!

The Details:
Stamps: All Holidays
CS: white, rose red, pretty in pink, kiwi kiss, raspberry tart dsp
Ink: rose red
Other: rose red grosgrain, pretty in pink grosgrain, 5 petal punch, 3/4" circle punch

Card of the Day

Hello Stampers! I participated in a Splitcoast Challenge today. I haven't done that in forevah! Today was a color challenge using Brilliant Blue, Pumpkin Pie and Garden Green. I have to say it wasn't my favorite combo but I don't think it turned out half bad! Have a good day! Enjoy!

The Details:
Stamps: Eastern Blooms, Sincere Salutations

Ink: Brilliant Blue
Other: pumpkin pie grosgrain, wide oval punch, 1/2" circle punch, paper piercing tool/mat pack, dimensionals

Breaktime is over - back to blogging!

Hello Stampers! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and are ready to get back to stamping! To get me back in the groove a little, I did some blog stalking. I came across one that was new to me and I absolutely love it! It is called "Stamping A Latte" by Jodi Collins. She does beautiful work and uses a lot of Stampin Up! I have CASE'D a few of her cards and will be posting them here each day this week. I guess you could say that she is my "stalkEE" of the week!

I didn't make many changes to the original, I just made mine more simple with less layers. I loved the original but wanted to make this one for a possible camp or club card. Here is the original here. I will give you a little hint, if you have trouble getting smooth edges when you cut out your hearts, smooth them down with a sanding block.

Enjoy!

The Details
Stamps: Always
CS: Tangerine Tango, Pixie Pink, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White
Ink: Tangerine Tango, Pixie Pink, Kiwi Kiss
Other: Kiwi Kiss satin ribbon, dimensionals

Update

Hey there! As of today, we STILL haven't closed on the cabin. We were scheduled to close last Friday, the 14th, and they decided at the last minute that they needed more from the appraiser. Gary drove to Knoxville on Monday, for them to tell them at 4:00 in the afternoon that they still didn't have what they needed. So, who the heck knows when the cabin will finally be ours. Do yourself a favor and never use Expresspath financing for anything! Stay tuned!

Where have I been?

Hello stampers! Sorry it has been soooo long since I have posted. I guess I got a little burnt out with the blogging thing but I have also had tons of stuff going on! First of all, I have been working pretty much 5 days a week (I miss my day off a week when business was slow in xray). I even have to work today which will be my 6th day this week - I got to leave a little early yesterday though. Second, we are buying this cabin in Gatlinburg, TN. We should close next Friday and things have been hectic getting all kinds of paperwork together and such. It's a little harder conducting business when you are 6 hours away from the residence and further than that from your loan officer (she's in New Jersey). I have started a blog for the cabin if you would like to keep up with our progress.

Unfortunately, I probably won't post much until after the first of the year when things slow down a bit. If you need information about specials, promotions, etc you can visit my Demonstrator Business Website here. That will keep you up to date with anything SU related.

I hope all is well with all of you - ta ta for now!

Look what I made!

Hey stampers! Look what I made with only HALF of a simply scrappin kit from Stampin Up!! I recently purchased the "I Wish" kit (#112193, $19.95) and made 20 cards, card box, and several tags the past couple of days. The cards are pretty simple but I think they are very cute. I also had a bunch of leftovers to make more cards or a couple of pages if I wish. I used about 9 sheets of cardsstock that I had on hand, put my punches to good use and did very little stamping. I also used up a bunch of scrap ribbon that I had in a jar. Never, I say NEVER, throw any scraps away - you never know when they may come in handy!! I used just a few stamp sets - punch pals, best yet and holidays & wishes.

I am so excited about this scrappin kit - if you order one before the 15th, I will give you 1 yard of real red and old olive 1/4" grosgrain ribbon!! Here is what is included in each kit:

2 sheets of choc chip textured card stock (12 x 12)
2 sheets of old olive textured card stock (12 x 12)
2 sheets of real red textured card stock (12 x 12)
2 sheets of whisper white textured card stock (12 x 12)
6 sheets of exclusive double sided designer paper
6 sheets of exclusive, self adhesive die cuts

Enjoy!

Card of the Day

Hello Stampers! I hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend! We tried to go out of town for the weekend but the first night our youngest one got sick and we had to come home in the middle of the night. I'm pretty used to it, he's always sick! We had a busy day at work today, making up for that day off, it almost wasn't worth being off a day! Even though I was tired, I stamped a card tonight. I didn't have any inspiration of my own so I blog-hopped a little and found this card that I like very much! I really love this "Crazy for Cupcakes" set from Stampin Up! Enjoy!

The details:
Stamps: crazy for cupcakes
CS: washington apple DSP, riding hood red, so saffron, w white, pumpkin pie
Ink: black stazon, pumpkin pie, bashful blue, riding hood red, so saffron
