Using Stampin Up Edgelits and Framelits

Hello Stampers and Crafters! This card was one of my projects for stamp club this past Friday night. Although I had no trouble using the edgelit and embossing folder the first time for the original card, we seemed to all have a little trouble with the die when re-creating! You know how it is, things never go right when you're trying to show someone else! http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif

So, I found this video on Stampin Up's YouTube channel on how to properly use the products, lol! It may answer some questions that some of you had about using adhesive to hold the die in place and such.

The project is a variation of another card I did a few weeks ago. I just changed the flower color, ribbon and added the edgelits. You can view the original here.

Hope this helps! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me!

Heart Embosslit

Hello Stampers and Crafters! I whipped this little card out with Valentine's Day as an inspiration. I had these colors laying out after doing a stamp club project card out of the same color combo. The white layer is dry embossed with the Houndstooth Embossing Folder (#123134) and then I used the 2-1/2 circle punch (#120906) to take a half circle out of one of the long sides. The rest is self explanatory I think!

***edited to add: I copied this layout from a card I saw on pinterest...here*****

Here are the supplies used for this project:
Cardstock: Island Indigo, Poppy Parade, Whisper White, Pool Party
Ink: none
Stamps: none (I will add one on the inside later)
Other: 2-1/2" circle punch, fashionable hearts embosslits (#125596), houndstooth embossing folder, white 1/4" grosgrain ribbon (#109025), brads (I believe I used the rose red ones)

Tissue Pouch made with Stampin Up Fabric

Hello stampers and crafters! My husband bought me a fabulous new sewing machine back in November for my 40th birthday. He was shocked that I asked for that for a special birthday! I have been playing around with it and trying to teach myself to sew and quilt. I found this tutorial on Pinterest for the tissue pouches. I made about 8 in an hour! They are perfect for little scraps of fabric and such. They would make great gifts for teachers and friends that are under the weather! I made mine using the Timeless Portrait Designer Fabric (#122337, $9.95) and also added an Antique Brad (#117273, $5.95 for 20) and a loop made from Very Vanilla 1/8" taffeta ribbon (#119960, $5.95).

Give them a try! They are super easy!!!

Thanks for looking!

Card Inspiration

Hello stampers! I am stuck CASE'ing Renee's work over at Stamping for Sanity Blog. I feel like her style is very close to my own. When life gets busy and you don't feel like coming up with ideas on your own, you can always depend on the internet to get you through!! I pretty much copied her card exactly but changed the colors up a bit. I was going to use the colors from the Colour Q Challenge but just couldn't put those colors all together for this card.

Thanks to all of the bloggers out there that give us beautiful inspiration!

Stamps: All Holidays
CS: kraft, whisper white, cameo coral, sage shadow, sweet pea DSP
Ink: soft suede
Other: 2 step bird punch, nestabilities dies, embossing folder, eyelet border punch

Card of the day.....or week.....or month.....

Hello again stampers! 2 days in a row for posts, don't get used to this! This is another card that I CASE'D over the weekend from here on Inking Idaho. Take a look at her blog, she had some adorable projects. I, like her, was wanting to use up some of my Sweet Pea Designer paper because I have so much of it left. I tend to shy away from the orange colors, I guess because I hate to wear orange. This was a nice change! I also loved the idea of using the oval punches to make a flower. Enjoy!

The Details:
Stamps - simple friendship
CS: sweet pea DSP, whisper white, choc chip
Ink: choc chip
Other: large and small oval punches, circle punch, scallop border punch, old olive ribbon

Graduation Cards

Hello Stampers! I know, I know, I haven't posted anything in over a month! I just haven't been in the stamping mood. I got my mojo back yesterday and was very productive. After preparing all of the projects for stamp club next Friday, I realized that someone had requested that I do a graduation card. I forgot all about it until all of the cardstock was already cut out for 14 people! So....I made some today to give you all some ideas. Since I didn't technically have a "graduation" set, I made do using a hodge podge of stamps from various sets. I was inspired by this card here by Amy Celona. It's hard to come up with a card that will fit all of the various school colors in the area and be for a boy or a girl so I made some for each. For the inside of the card, I just used my word program to print sentiments. Enjoy!

PS: If you would like to know any of the details for the supplies used, just contact me.
