another blog

Hello again. I will be going out of town this week and won't be able to post until next week so I wanted to give you all a few things to play around with while I am away! I found this tutorial for folding a little shirt! It will be perfect for a Father's Day card or a masculine birthday card! Click here for the tutorial by Cambria Turnbow. While you are there, check out her other posts, she is a very talented stamper. Enjoy.

Today's blog

Hey all. Hope you have had a great weekend. My blog today is a a little pocket card that I cased from another blog. Click here to view the tutorial posted by Lisa Somerville. This card would be perfect for money, gift cards, etc. The only thing I would do different next time is that I would do a belly band that wraps around it and slides off instead of tying/untying ribbon. Stampin' Up makes cards to fit this, they are the open end envelopes, a business size envelope would work in a pinch but it is a little big. Enjoy.

Card Details
Stamps: Riveting, It's your Birthday
CS: Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, W White
Ink: Perfect Plum
Other: Sponge Daubers, cuttlebug, circle punches, ribbon, corner rounder

Puppy anyone?

I know this is totally off the subject of stamping but....a stray dog decided to have puppies and bring them to live at my house under my shed. They are really cute but I already have a dog and they are going to have to go! If you or anyone you know are interested in one the pups please let me know ASAP, they will be going to the humane society in the next couple of weeks. Spread the word, thanks!

PS - I live just outside Paducah, KY for any of you who do not know my personally!!

New Stamp Space

Guess what I did yall?!? Gary bought me 2 more tables so that I could keep "camp" set up in the loft!! I am so excited. It will help me out soooo much on camp nights, I won't have to move my furniture around downstairs and bring the tables and chairs out. Maybe this will allow me to have some extra classes in between camps. I think the lighting and space will be much better for us up there. I know you faithful campers love to see me run up and down the stairs for the stuff I have forgotten but those days are over.

If you haven't signed up for the June 22nd camp, I still have 2 spaces left. Let me know ASAP!!

missing picture

Hey! No one told me the picture was missing from one of my entries over the weekend. Oh well, better later than never, here it is. You girls need to keep me on my toes, let me know when something is screwy!!

Another Father's Day Idea

I have been trying to stock up my stash box of cards at work and I have made several Dad cards. I only have one "happy fathers day" sentiment stamp and I wanted to do something different than just that. I came up with this, it's kinda simple but men don't really care about all the foo-foo on the card anyway do they? Enjoy.

Card details:
Stamps Sets: Headline Alphabet, crosshatch (Background)
CS: Old Olive, Not Quite Navy, Close to Cocoa
Ink: Versamark
Other: Copper embossing powder, eyelets, ticket corner punch

One more

Kiddie Kard! I never, ever have had a set to make good boy cards until recently. I purchased the By Land set to use in my scrapbooks for little boys and thought I would make up a few birthday cards to have on hand. It is very simple but still cute! Enjoy.

Stamps: By Land, Crosshatch, It's your birthday (inside)
Ink: Brocade Blue, Real Red
CS: W White, Real Red, Brocade Blue
Other: none

I am back in the saddle of blogging!

I am trying to get back in the habit of blogging again. There is just so much to do in the spring/summer time! It has been so hot and humid here I have stayed in the house this weekend! So, here is a cheery birthday card for you all to try out. Enjoy.

Card details:
Stamps: Polka Dots & Paisley, Everyday Flex Phrases
CS: Green Galore, Pink Passion, W White, Tempting Turquoise
Ink: Marker, White Craft
Other: Cuttlebug folder, silver cord, grosgrain ribbon, tag from tag sheet, ticket corner punch

Father's Day Card

This is another project we did at our last demonstrators meeting. I really think this is a cute idea because it is very hard to come up with "man" cards! I had a pattern for the tie but I think you guys can wing it. Use a square punch for the collar and fold in half. Let me know if you have any questions!

Card details:
Stamps: All Year Cheer II (sentiment inside), crosshatch (background)
Ink: any
CS: Buckaroo Blue, Marigold Morning, Cranberry Crisp, designer paper
Other: brads (for tie tack), square punches

Maze Book

I learned how to make a "Maze Book" out of one piece of 12 x 12 paper at our demonstrators meeting last night. I just had to come home and practice it! Maybe this will be a camp project in the next couple of months.

Project Details:
Stamps: Polka dots & paisley
CS: Spring mini designer paper, pretty in pink, certainly celery, tempting turquoise
Ink: Markers
Other: ribbon, flower punches, tag punch, brads
