Camp Projects

Hello Stampers! I am so sorry for not posting in so long. I don't know what is going on around here - the clock has just been moving too fast and the hours pass by before I know it! Anyway, here is one of the camp projects we did last Friday night. The other projects had been posted on previous posts. The birthday cake card has a ribbon that holds a secret message behind the cake. When you slide the ribbon the message comes out. I came across the tutorial on Stamping School and I just had to give it a try. I figured all of the kids in my family would really get a kick out of it! Enjoy.

The details:
Stamps: Eat Cake
CS: wild wasabi, glossy white, choc chip, soft sky designer series, pumpkin pie
Ink: wild wasabi, choc chip, brocade blue, pumpkin pie
Other: flower punch, brads, large & small oval punches, wasabi double stitched ribbon

Card of the Day

Hey Stampers! Sorry it has been a few days since I posted. I just haven't felt inspired to do anything! We were out of town yesterday and the other days and nights just seemed to fly right by without getting anything accomplished!

This is a card I did today after searching thru about a zillion photos on splitcoast! I was inspired by this card, found here, and decided it was worth CASE'ing. I have some others printed off to play around with later in the week. Enjoy!

The details:
Stamps: Polka Dots & Paisley, All Holidays
CS: River Rock, Mellow Moss, Ruby Red
Ink: Mellow Moss, Ruby Red
Other: Large & Small oval punches, Markers, red hemp twine, stampamajig, paper piercing

Card of the Day

Happy Tuesday to everyone! I am almost ashamed to post another CASE but I just couldn't help myself!! When I see something I really like, I have to make it! This one came from Splitcoast found here in "newdemo"'s gallery. I just recently purchased these two stamp sets and was looking for ways to use them. I particularly liked the cut out flowers and butterfly. Maybe tomorrow I will post an original (doubt it, but it's possible). I could have stepped this up with some brads or hardware but I really like the clean simplicity of it like it is. Enjoy!

The details:
Stamps: full of life, live your dreams
CS: basic gray, bashful blue textured, old olive, really rust
Ink: basic gray and SU markers in bashful blue, brocade blue, old olive, really rust, and black
Other: stampin dimensionals, mini glue dots, water spritzer on the flowers

Card of the Day

Hello Stampers! I am sad to see the weekend come to an end! Although, my kids have been totally awful and I would probably be better off at work! I love my kids but sometimes they can get under my skin and make me want to runaway from home for a few hours!

Anyway, I managed to do a card all by myself today without case'ing! I haven't done that in a while! It is possible I case'd accidentally but I don't think I did, lol. I just got this set and couldn't wait to use it. I hope to see it in the new catalog. Enjoy.

Card details:
Stamps: Live your Dream (occasions mini), sanded, sincere salutations
CS: perfect plum, pale plum, whisper white
Ink: perfect plum craft, perfect plum classic, mellow moss, SU markers
Other: paper piercing tools, grosgrain ribbon, clear EP

Man Made Card

Had to share this hilarious video! This is why men should not stamp! Check out Linda and Matt's real videos and tutorials here. Also check out the "stamping school" website - it has an annual fee but there are very detailed tutorials on there for demonstrators.

edited to add: I did not create this video - I found it on youtube and wanted to share it.

Card of the Day

Happy Weekend stampers! I hope you all are enjoying the weekend so far. We had beautiful weather today which was a nice change from the cold, rainy weather we had been having.

It seems I have had a case of stamper's block the last few days. I case'd this card from splitcoast stampers found here. Everything was going well, I had the card all stamped and put together and then I decided to put the second step on the flower. That's when it all went downhill! I didn't get it lined up very good and I wanted to kick myself for being too lazy to get the stampamajig out of the drawer! Oh well, at least I posted something, right? Enjoy!

The details:
Stamps: heartfelt thanks, all holidays, it's your birthday, french script
CS: choc chip, close to cocoa, pink passion, vanilla
Ink: choc chip, close to cocoa
Other: SU markers (choc chip, close to cocoa, pixie pink, pink passion)

Card of the Day

My card of the day is a CASE from Lauren Meader's blog again! I love these colors together, it looks so bright and cheery! I also practiced my watercoloring using some of Julie's tips from Paper Pleasing Ideas. But....no matter how hard I try, I am just not a good watercolorer (is that a word?). Buying the watercolor paper has certainly helped my efforts but I still need lots more practice! I have really been enjoying cards and pages that take advantage of my collection of punches. I like to use them for embellishments because they can really help you fill up the space. I also used a punch to make a template, the small oval punch was used to make a stencil to sponge on the green to look like a patch of grass. I hope you enjoy!

The details:
Stamps: fun & fast notes, it's your birthday
CS: real red, certainly celery, choc chip, close to cocoa, apricot appeal, watercolor paper
Ink: black stazon, choc chip, certainly celery
Other: circle punches, small oval punch, red striped grosgrain ribbon

Card of the Day

Hello Stampers! It's hump-day! Is it just me or has this been the longest week ever?! This is a card I did back a couple of weeks ago for a friend of ours. I made a cute little fleece fringed blanket and it needed a pink card to go with it. This tutorial has been all over the blogs and internet and I finally had a reason to make one! Too cute! Look here for the tutorial on Lauren Meader's blog. Enjoy.

The Details:
Stamps: a new little someone
CS: pretty in pink, w white
Ink: pretty in pink
Other: circle punch, scallop punch, soft subtles brads

Hello Stampers and very happy Tuesday to you! This is the last of my camp projects I have to post. A couple of the others had been posted previously last month. This card uses the Stampin Up Pastels, which is one thing I hardly ever use. I was really happy with how this turned out so I may try to use them more. I am positive I CASE'd this card from somewhere but for the life of me, I can't remember where! I hope you all have a wonderful week. Enjoy!

The details:
Stamps: Always, canvas
CS: close to cocoa, choc chip, w white, ballet blue
Ink: versamark, close to cocoa, choc chip
