Happy New Year!

I just wanted to tell all my friends, family, and stampers, Happy New Year. I just can't wait to start off 2007 with Stampin' Up! 2007 will start off with the Sellabration promotion. For every $50 purchase you will receive a special stamp set from the sellabration catalog. Hostesses during January and February will also receive an additional stamp set for a $300 workshop on top of the gifts they would ordinarily receive. I have seen the sellabration sets and I want them all. See the link for the sellabration catalog under My Links.

I am planning a workshop for January 26th. We will be doing a couple valentine cards and the pictured photo explosion box. I may be adding another card in there also.

Can't wait to see and stamp with you girls again. I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and have a great New Year!

Santa came early!

I took advantage of the half price stamp sale and bought myself a couple of sets for Christmas. I ordered Love ya Bunches and Tag Time. For those of you who were at the camp where we did mostly birthday cards, we used Tag Time for the balloons with the curly strings. I thought I would post one of the cards that I did with my Love ya Bunches set. It is a really cute girly-girl set. I hope you all take advantage of this offer. I will be taking orders until Dec. 28th for the half price sale.

Google Group

I have started a google group and sent out invitations for all my customers to join the group. If you join, you should get an update by email when I publish to my blog (if I have this set up correctly). If you know of someone else that would like to join the group or that was left out in error, please let me know. You can also discuss things, like a forum, on the group. So feel free to use it however you want. It doesn't have to be all scrapbooking/stamping topics. Thanks.

Submit your work

Have any of you ever done a scrapbook page or card that you were just extremely proud of? If so, consider submitting your work to Papercrafts Magazine. They are always on the lookout for projects to publish in their magazine. The instructions for submitting are on their website, www.papercraftsmag.com. I also have them listed under my favorite links. They have bunches of ideas and use a lot of stampin up items. Their magazine only comes out every other month - that's a bummer! Check it out and let me know if you send in any of your work

Teacher's gifts

I wanted to share pictures of my teacher's gift for Jarrett's 4th grade teacher this year. I took inexpensive items from the Dollar Tree and stamped them up to make cute little personalized gifts. I covered a composition notebook with some of our specialty paper (Spring Flowers) and added a few embellishments. I made a matching ink pen by adding paper to the inside of the pen and tying on some ribbon. I also made a matching candle. For those of you that have not had the opportunity to learn the stamping on candles technique, please email me and I will give you the instructions - it is really easy. I think Jarrett's teacher will love her gift.

Ideas for masculine cards

I had someone ask me to make some manly birthday cards for them today at work. I thought and thought and realized it is very difficult for me to make "boy cards". It is much easier to make a girly girl card with ribbons and bows. Anyway, I got out the cardstock and stamps and this is what I come up with and I thought I would share them.

Customer Appreciation Party

Angela Richards and I are planning a customer appreciation/Christmas party for our customers on December 2nd. We would like for all of you to come and stamp and scrap with us all day on that Saturday. We will have several projects for you stamp and also plenty of door prizes. There is no class/camp fee for this party, so just come by and have a good time with us.

We would like to do a twist on the Chinese auction game. If you have a product(s) in your scrapping or stamping collection that you have not used, please wrap it up and bring it with you for our Chinese auction. Someone else may turn your hand-me-down into a gorgeous creation! If you are like me, you have bought a ton on supplies that are just sitting in a cabinet that you just haven't figured out what to do with them Your gift should be a $10 value. I think this game will be of alot fun.

Don't forget to bring your scrapping stuff with you also. We plan on stamping in the morning and scrapping in the afternoon. More details coming later. Would anyone like to do a potluck?

November Stamp Camp

My last stamp camp was held on Monday, November 20th. All of the projects were Christmas Cards and we also added a technique card to our technique "ring". The technique I chose this month was called "wax paper resist". A couple of our cards used non-traditional colors to mix it up a bit.

If you would like to know more about the technique, check out www.splitcoaststampers.com and look under resources. They have tons of techniques and tutorials listed there. It is one of my favorite websites. You can visit their gallery to find all of the stampin up stamp sets listed. You can click on a stamp set and you will find 1000's of ideas for that particular set. There are some very talented stampers out there!!!

Thanksgiving 2006

Hello everyone! To those of you that know me well, you know that I am no computer genious! Blogging is totally new to me but I thought I would give it a try. I wanted something that my "girls" could look at to keep up with what is going on with Stampin Up! I intend to post my events, specials, promotions, and pictures of my work and future stamp camp projects.

To those of you that do not know me, I am a married, mother of 3. I am a full time xray tech here in Kentucky and also a Stampin Up demonstrator on the side. I signed up in May of this year and I absolutely love it!! I have 2 friends in my downline so far and they are as addicted as I am!! I sell to support my habit because I want the entire catalog.

As of this month I will be promoted to supervisor, yeah!!! I finally get commission off of my downline. This does not mean more income for me....just more free stampin' stuff!!

Anyway, please be patient with me as I go through this journey of learning about blogging. I hope to post inspiring projects that you will want to CASE (copy and share everything). Thanks for taking the time to read.
