Card of the Day

Hello Stampers! TGIF!! It has been a long week, hasn't it? To top it all off, I have to work tomorrow - that sucks. I made a really quick wedding card tonight with one of my new sets from the mini called "She's All That". It is such a cute set. I wasn't going to spend the money on it but with the hostess promotion last month, I was able to get an additional $25 in free merchandise with my stamp camp order! So, I thought....why not, live a little, splurge and buy the set! My life is so lame! Anyway, I hope you enjoy the card!

The Details:
Stamps: she's all that, all holidays
CS: w white, black, basic gray
Ink: versamark, black
Other: black grosgrain, silver thread, black EP, retired corner punch, 3/4 & 1" circle punches

Card of the Day

Hello Stampers! Hope you had a great Monday. Just wanted to make a quick post of another challenge card that I did over the weekend. I got the idea from a card I saw on Splitcoast where she clear embossed her flower and then sponged some ink on top. You wipe the ink away with a paper towell, it won't stick to the embossed image. One tip: stamp your background (linen stamped with blush blossom in this card) and sentiment first before you emboss. This card is for Color Challenge #162 (basic grey, blush blossom, groovy guava) and Sketch challenge #173 - both from Splitcoast Stampers. Enjoy!

The details:
Stamps: Close as a memory, Linen BG
CS: basic grey, blush blossom, groovy guava, white
Ink: basic grey, groovy guava, wild wasabi
Other: vintage brads, cuttlebug EF, distressing tool, clear EP

Card of the Day

Hello Stampers and happy Sunday to you! Here is another challenge card that I did last night. I am not too fond of the long cards but I thought I would give it a try anyway. And still....I am not too crazy about long cards! This layout was for SC174 and the colors are for CC163 challenges on Splitcoast Stampers. The key to this layout was folding the card so that you could see the inside. Enjoy!

The Details:
Stamps: Live your Dream
CS: choc chip, pretty in pink, certainly celery (misc designer paper from '06 sale-a-bration), whisper white
Ink: white craft, choc chip, markers
Other: nestabilities scalloped oval dies, chocolate taffeta ribbon

How to tie Ribbon

Hello Stampers! I know how some of you struggle with tying ribbons, especially my stamp campers! I love ribbon and think every card needs a little of it. So here is the "How to tie Ribbon on your card tutorial with Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Angie Kennedy Juda". Enjoy!

Card of the Day

Hello Stampers! I took some time today to catch up on a few challenges. It has been forever since I did a challenge and it felt good to do one. Although, how did I make such a mess making one card? I tried a technique I had seen before but I can't really remember how it was done. I embossed the flower image from doodle this on vellum and then turned it over and colored with markers on the back side. It really doesn't show up in the photo. Oh well, it was still fun to try. This card is for Beate's weekend sketch challenge number 46 and for the splitcoast color challenge number 164 using soft sky, purely pomegrante, and black.

I also discovered something else tonight. My ticket corner had stopped working recently and I read somewhere on splitcoast about applying sewing machine oil to the punches when they stopped working to "lube" them up. I didn't have any oil but I found some glycerine in my drawer and I applied some of that with a small paint brush and my punch is now working again! I am so happy because it was one of my favorites.

Enjoy your weekend!

The details:
Stamps: doodle this, all holidays
CS: soft sky, purely pomegranate, basic black, whisper white, vellum
Ink: versamark, black, SU markers
Other: 1" circle punch, small oval punch, designer label punch, ticket corner punch, pomegranate double stitched riboon and paper piercing tools.

Card of the Day

Hello stampers! I just couldn't resist doing another "slider" card. This is a really quick thank you card that I needed to make for a friend of mine. I love learning new techniques but the problem is that I do them over and over until I am sick of them. I hope I don't do this with this one!! I guess I am in a sliding kind of mood lately! Enjoy!

CS: pretty in pink, rose red, berry bliss designer paper
Ink: markers in rose red, pretty in pink, choc chip
Other: flower punch, rich regals brads, slot punch, pomegranate double stitched ribbon, large & small oval punches, stampin dimensionals
