Using Stampin Up Edgelits and Framelits

Hello Stampers and Crafters! This card was one of my projects for stamp club this past Friday night. Although I had no trouble using the edgelit and embossing folder the first time for the original card, we seemed to all have a little trouble with the die when re-creating! You know how it is, things never go right when you're trying to show someone else! http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif

So, I found this video on Stampin Up's YouTube channel on how to properly use the products, lol! It may answer some questions that some of you had about using adhesive to hold the die in place and such.

The project is a variation of another card I did a few weeks ago. I just changed the flower color, ribbon and added the edgelits. You can view the original here.

Hope this helps! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me!

I whipped up all 8 in about 30 minutes. Great to have around for any of those last minute birthdays you forgot about!! Available for $11.95.

Products used for this project:
Cardstock - everyday elegance simply sent kit (122377)
Ink - cherry cobbler and baja breeze
Stamps - Thoughts and prayers and Bring on the cake

Other - blushing bride pleated satin ribbon (125570) and 1/4" white grosgrain(109025)

Heart Embosslit

Hello Stampers and Crafters! I whipped this little card out with Valentine's Day as an inspiration. I had these colors laying out after doing a stamp club project card out of the same color combo. The white layer is dry embossed with the Houndstooth Embossing Folder (#123134) and then I used the 2-1/2 circle punch (#120906) to take a half circle out of one of the long sides. The rest is self explanatory I think!

***edited to add: I copied this layout from a card I saw on pinterest...here*****

Here are the supplies used for this project:
Cardstock: Island Indigo, Poppy Parade, Whisper White, Pool Party
Ink: none
Stamps: none (I will add one on the inside later)
Other: 2-1/2" circle punch, fashionable hearts embosslits (#125596), houndstooth embossing folder, white 1/4" grosgrain ribbon (#109025), brads (I believe I used the rose red ones)

Tissue Pouch made with Stampin Up Fabric

Hello stampers and crafters! My husband bought me a fabulous new sewing machine back in November for my 40th birthday. He was shocked that I asked for that for a special birthday! I have been playing around with it and trying to teach myself to sew and quilt. I found this tutorial on Pinterest for the tissue pouches. I made about 8 in an hour! They are perfect for little scraps of fabric and such. They would make great gifts for teachers and friends that are under the weather! I made mine using the Timeless Portrait Designer Fabric (#122337, $9.95) and also added an Antique Brad (#117273, $5.95 for 20) and a loop made from Very Vanilla 1/8" taffeta ribbon (#119960, $5.95).

Give them a try! They are super easy!!!

A Red Rose.....or cherry cobbler

Hello stampers!! It has been over a year since I have posted anything to this blog!! I thought I would post this card just to see if I have any followers left! If you know longer want to receive updates, feel free to unsubscribe. Trust me, I completely understand! I am going to try to at least post once a week. I'm not making any promises but I am going to make an attempt!!

I know most of you have jumped on the Pinterest craze! I know I have and I am totally addicted! I CASE'd (Copy And Share Everything) from there. You can view the original here. I kept it basically the same only changing out one of the white layers for a layer of black. The rose petals and stem are made using the Bird Builder Punch (#117191).

Here's a list of Stampin Up! supplies:
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Black, Garden Green, and Whisper White
Ink: Cherry Cobbler (sponged the edges of the petals), Garden Green (sponging)
Stamps: Only used the valentine sentiment from Grateful Greetings on the inside
Other: Perfect Polka Dot folder (117335), Bird Builder Punch (117191), Lattice Bigz Die (115958), Cherry Cobbles Seam Binding Ribbon (120992), Stampin Dimensionals (120992)

Thanks so much for looking!
