Card of the Day
Hello Stampers! I held my monthly "stamp camp" last night and this is one of the projects that we completed. I used mostly retiring stamp sets again this month and I hate to see this one go! It will be staying in my collection for awhile longer but I won't be able to use it for camps and such. I know that SU will have something even better in the next catalog to make it up for it! The idea for the banner came from Stamping School. The color combo came from here at Me, My Stamps and I blog. Enjoy!
The details:
Stamps: eat cake, It's your birthday
CS: not quite navy, pumpkin pie, garden green, white
Ink: not quite navy, white craft
Other: 3/4" circle punch, SU markers

Card of the Day
Hello stampers! A quick post to share a card with you from a previous camp. Sorry my posts are so short and sweet but I actually entered about 20 posts and scheduled them for later dates back on the 19th! I had some time and decided to go ahead and plan ahead! This card was CASE'D from here on splitcoast stampers (the stamper also has a great blog) using a retiring stamp set that I love called Just Like You. It is the stamp set that helps out the Ronald Mcdonald Charities, which is such a great cause! Enjoy!
The details:
Stamps: just like you, all holiday
CS: taken with teal, pumpkin pie, rose red, old olive, bali breeze DSP, white
Ink: rose red, taken with teal, su markers

card of the day
Hello stampers! I am here to share another camp project, I think this one was from May - can't remember. Anway...I watched the tutorial on stamping school but I am sure there are some patterns out there on the web or on splitcoast stampers too. It is called a trophy card. When you pull on the top flap it folds into a card on a stand. Isn't it the cutest!? Enjoy!
The details:
Stamps: bugs and kisses
CS: purely pomegranate, river rock, w white
Ink: wild wasabi, purely pomegranate, river rock
Other: boho blossoms punch, brads, designer label punch

Card of the Day
Hello stampers! Just a quick post to share a June Camp Project. I found this idea on Stamping School and couldn't wait to get the hostess set to make it! It is a slider card and the monkey goes up and down on the slider. My 3 year old loves playing with this card! I did a little paper piecing on the parachute instead of coloring it in - you girls know how much I hate watercoloring! Enjoy!
The details:
Stamps: older and wiser (hostess)
CS: real red, old olive, bashful blue, w white, summer picnic DSP
Ink: brilliant blue, black stazon

Card of the Day (sorry - bad picture)
Hello Stampers! Sorry about the rotten picture! I am giving my set "Give Thanks" another day to play at stamp camp before it retires. I hate to see this one go too! I have used this one alot, especially the apple stamp. I was inspired by this card here on splitcoast stampers. I had hardly used the sunflower and when I saw this card on SS, I knew I had to CASE it! Enjoy!
The details:
stamps: give thanks
CS: close to cocoa, textured soft sky, so saffron, watercolor paper, white, certainly celery
Ink: black stazon, close to cocoa
Other: choc twill ribbon, tag corner punch, 1/8" punch, distressing tool
Card of the Day
Hello Stampers! I hope all is going well with everyone out there in blogland! I am all prepared for convention. Swaps are done: 200 card fronts, 30 3D items, gifts for room-mates to be exact!
This is a card that I did for a little card class at a local church. We did 2 cards with matching envelopes and I believe all the ladies enjoyed it very much. I found this cute little card, here, on splitcoast stampers. This is a very simple card to do, the only thing I did that may not be noticeable in the picture was misting the stamps with water after coloring them to blend the colors in. Enjoy!
The details:
Stamps: spring solitude
CS: purely pomegranate, river rock, w white, wild wasabi
Ink: su markers, wild wasabi
Other: rich regals brads, large oval punch, spray bottle (to mist)

Card of the Day
Hello Stampers! I have another entry for another June camp project. I picked projects that utilized my retiring stamp sets so that I could give the rubbah a last hoorah. This card was CASE'd from here on splitcoast stampers. Enjoy!

Stamps: Be happy, polka dots & paisley (for background)
CS: groovy guava, certainly celery, close to cocoa, w white
Ink: close to cocoa, groovy guava, white craft

Card of the day
Hello stampers! I would like to share another one of my camp projects from June. I found this card on Stamping School and decided to CASE it. See how the little hedgehog is peeking thru the window? When making this card, after punching the hole in the front, take a pencil and trace the circle onto the white so that you know where to stamp your hedgehog. The scallop was made my punching a circle with the 1 3/8" circle punch in the designer paper and then punch the scallop around the circle hole. Don't try to punch the scallop first, it will never work!! Enjoy!
The details:
Stamps: fun & fast notes, weathered, under the weather (inside)
CS: wild wasabi, blue bayou, saffron DSP, w white, pomegranate DSP
Ink: black stazon
Other: white grosgrain, scallop punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, watercolor crayons

answer to question
Hey stampers! I had someone post a comment on this post asking me how I did the border. I am assuming they are talking about the corners for the card, it was done with a punch that is now retired from SU and I believe it is called a wrought iron corner punch. It may still be made by EK Success but just not available thru SU. Thanks for the comment!
As for my long absence......sorry about that! I have been working more than usual and trying to prepare for the SU convention that is now just 18 days away! I have made 130 swap cards so far and would like to make at least 70 more. When things slow down and get back to normal, I will get back to my blogging because it is something I enjoy playing around with but it just hasn't been at the top of my priority list! But please don't give up on me! I appreciate what few readers I have and don't want to lose any of you!
Have a great weekend.
Laurie
