Hey there! As of today, we STILL haven't closed on the cabin. We were scheduled to close last Friday, the 14th, and they decided at the last minute that they needed more from the appraiser. Gary drove to Knoxville on Monday, for them to tell them at 4:00 in the afternoon that they still didn't have what they needed. So, who the heck knows when the cabin will finally be ours. Do yourself a favor and never use Expresspath financing for anything! Stay tuned!

Where have I been?
Hello stampers! Sorry it has been soooo long since I have posted. I guess I got a little burnt out with the blogging thing but I have also had tons of stuff going on! First of all, I have been working pretty much 5 days a week (I miss my day off a week when business was slow in xray). I even have to work today which will be my 6th day this week - I got to leave a little early yesterday though. Second, we are buying this cabin in Gatlinburg, TN. We should close next Friday and things have been hectic getting all kinds of paperwork together and such. It's a little harder conducting business when you are 6 hours away from the residence and further than that from your loan officer (she's in New Jersey). I have started a blog for the cabin if you would like to keep up with our progress.
Unfortunately, I probably won't post much until after the first of the year when things slow down a bit. If you need information about specials, promotions, etc you can visit my Demonstrator Business Website here. That will keep you up to date with anything SU related.
I hope all is well with all of you - ta ta for now!

Look what I made!
Hey stampers! Look what I made with only HALF of a simply scrappin kit from Stampin Up!! I recently purchased the "I Wish" kit (#112193, $19.95) and made 20 cards, card box, and several tags the past couple of days. The cards are pretty simple but I think they are very cute. I also had a bunch of leftovers to make more cards or a couple of pages if I wish. I used about 9 sheets of cardsstock that I had on hand, put my punches to good use and did very little stamping. I also used up a bunch of scrap ribbon that I had in a jar. Never, I say NEVER, throw any scraps away - you never know when they may come in handy!! I used just a few stamp sets - punch pals, best yet and holidays & wishes.
I am so excited about this scrappin kit - if you order one before the 15th, I will give you 1 yard of real red and old olive 1/4" grosgrain ribbon!! Here is what is included in each kit:
2 sheets of choc chip textured card stock (12 x 12)
2 sheets of old olive textured card stock (12 x 12)
2 sheets of real red textured card stock (12 x 12)
2 sheets of whisper white textured card stock (12 x 12)
6 sheets of exclusive double sided designer paper
6 sheets of exclusive, self adhesive die cuts
Enjoy!

Card of the Day
Hello Stampers! I hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend! We tried to go out of town for the weekend but the first night our youngest one got sick and we had to come home in the middle of the night. I'm pretty used to it, he's always sick! We had a busy day at work today, making up for that day off, it almost wasn't worth being off a day! Even though I was tired, I stamped a card tonight. I didn't have any inspiration of my own so I blog-hopped a little and found this card that I like very much! I really love this "Crazy for Cupcakes" set from Stampin Up! Enjoy!
The details:
Stamps: crazy for cupcakes

Ink: black stazon, pumpkin pie, bashful blue, riding hood red, so saffron

Card of the Day
Hello Stampers! Hope you all have had a fantastic weekend! I have recovered from Friday night's stamp camp and did a little "just for fun" stamping today. I have expressed in the past that the Fall colors are my favorite so I decided to get a head start on some Fall-looking cards. This is the first one and I will post the second one tomorrow. I totally CASE'd this one but when I was saving the image on my computer, I did not save the web page, shame-shame on me. I hate not giving credit to the creator but I can't really do anything about it, I found the original when I was doing some major blog-hopping and I have no earthly idea where I found it. It was not one of my usual blogs that I browse. Anyway, thank you to the creator for the inspiration!
There are a few things about this card that you may not notice from the picture. The 4 colored blocks were adhered to the black cardstock and then stamped all at once with the grass stamp in versamark ink, the image doesn't show up on the black. Also, I used the horizontal slot punch to make the holes for the ribbon to slide through. Enjoy!
Laurie
EDITED TO ADD: I found the original! It is here on the Inking Idaho blog. I really liked this blog, she has bunches of ideas on there!
The Details:
Stamps: All Holidays (can you tell this is my favorite sentiment set?), Inspired by nature
CS: summer sun, garden green, close to cocoa, really rust, more mustard, black, vanilla
Ink: choc chip, versamark
Other: watercolor crayons (straight to the stamp, then misted with water), choc chip grosgrain, horizontal slot punch

New Business Website
Hello stampers! I just wanted you all to know that I finally signed up for my own business website thru stampin up! I started it because SU is going to have online ordering for customers soon and I wanted my customers to be able to take advantage of that. Beginning sometime this Fall, everyone will be able to order all of their favorite SU products 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The only advantage of ordering straight thru me would be a possibility of cheaper shipping or to take advantage of any of my own promotions/sales that I have going on. Click here to visit my website and remember it is a work in progress, I am still learning about it! Enjoy!

Hello Stampers! Another Convention swap card for you to enjoy. This one is different from what I generally like. I tend to really like using flowers, as I am sure everyone has figured out by now! Card of the Day
Hello Stampers! I held my monthly "stamp camp" last night and this is one of the projects that we completed. I used mostly retiring stamp sets again this month and I hate to see this one go! It will be staying in my collection for awhile longer but I won't be able to use it for camps and such. I know that SU will have something even better in the next catalog to make it up for it! The idea for the banner came from Stamping School. The color combo came from here at Me, My Stamps and I blog. Enjoy!
The details:
Stamps: eat cake, It's your birthday
CS: not quite navy, pumpkin pie, garden green, white
Ink: not quite navy, white craft
Other: 3/4" circle punch, SU markers

Hello stampers! A quick post to share a card with you from a previous camp. Sorry my posts are so short and sweet but I actually entered about 20 posts and scheduled them for later dates back on the 19th! I had some time and decided to go ahead and plan ahead! This card was CASE'D from here on splitcoast stampers (the stamper also has a great blog) using a retiring stamp set that I love called Just Like You. It is the stamp set that helps out the Ronald Mcdonald Charities, which is such a great cause! Enjoy!
The details:
Stamps: just like you, all holiday

Hello stampers! I am here to share another camp project, I think this one was from May - can't remember. Anway...I watched the tutorial on stamping school but I am sure there are some patterns out there on the web or on splitcoast stampers too. It is called a trophy card. When you pull on the top flap it folds into a card on a stand. Isn't it the cutest!? Enjoy!
The details:
Stamps: bugs and kisses
CS: purely pomegranate, river rock, w white
Ink: wild wasabi, purely pomegranate, river rock
Other: boho blossoms punch, brads, designer label punch

Card of the Day
Hello stampers! Just a quick post to share a June Camp Project. I found this idea on Stamping School and couldn't wait to get the hostess set to make it! It is a slider card and the monkey goes up and down on the slider. My 3 year old loves playing with this card! I did a little paper piecing on the parachute instead of coloring it in - you girls know how much I hate watercoloring! Enjoy!
The details:
Stamps: older and wiser (hostess)
CS: real red, old olive, bashful blue, w white, summer picnic DSP
Ink: brilliant blue, black stazon
